D2L/Brightspace Software Overview

Overview

PimaOnline utilizes D2L/Brightspace as its Learning Management System (LMS). This platform facilitates a wide range of online and hybrid courses, allowing for flexible learning opportunities. Through D2L/Brightspace, students can access course materials, submit assignments, participate in discussions, and take assessments from any location with Internet access.

Installation

• No installation is required. D2L/Brightspace is accessed entirely through a web browser.

Access Information

• D2L/Brightspace is accessible to current Students and Faculty and can be accessed via the login portal: https://d2l.pima.edu
  • D2L/Brightspace can also be accessed through MyPima via the D2L Shortcut.
• D2L/Brightspace uses Single Sign-On with your MyPima credentials to log in.

Common Issues

• Basic Troubleshooting
  • Attempt Basic Web Browser Troubleshooting
    • Follow the steps listed in the Clearing Browser Cache and Cookies Article. If this does not resolve the issue, submit a request for D2L/Brightspace Support.
• Problem: Missing Courses
  • Solution: If your course does not appear in D2L, check your Registration Status via MyPima. If you are enrolled in a course but it does not appear, submit a request for D2L/Brightspace Support.
• Problem: Unable to Access Course(s)
  • Solution: If you're unable to access your course(s), please first check if the course start date has passed or if the course has already ended. If the course is currently active and you still cannot access it, please submit a request for D2L/Brightspace Support.
• Problem: Cannot Log In
  • Solution: Please submit a D2L/Brightspace Support request, and Pima's D2L team will assist you.
• Problem: Error: "There was a problem processing your authentication..."
  • Solution:
    1. Ensure you can log in to MyPima.
       • If you are unable to log in to MyPima, please submit a Help with MyPima Account request.
    2. Follow the steps in the Clearing Browser Cache and Cookies Article.
    3. If this does not resolve the issue, submit a request for D2L/Brightspace Support.
