Overview
IT must evaluate and approve all computer hardware and related equipment before purchase, including purchases made using department P-cards. Use this service to initiate a purchase or request a quote.
Details
IT works with the Purchasing department to ensure that all computer equipment purchases meet PCC standards and follow approved procurement processes. Centralizing computer purchasing and receiving also help us maintain an accurate asset inventory list. Requests for non-standard equipment will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
IT will provide:
- An HP 14” Windows laptop.
- Docking station.
- Wired or wireless mouse and keyboard.
- One monitor.
Requests for laptops with higher specifications or Mac laptops require business justification.
Additional equipment - provided by request
- Bluetooth trucker-style Headset
- VPN Access (please create a security service request)
- USB Hub (to attach more USB devices to a laptop)
- Webcam (if needed)
