VPN Access Request

Overview

Use this ticket to request remote access to services including Banner, HVAC control systems, WinSCP or file shares on PCC's internal network. You do not need VPN service to access Google Services such as Google Drive or Google Docs. VPN is only required to access services that are inside the Pima network.

Details

On the ticket select the type of VPN access needed. (Banner access, HVAC, systems, or file shares.) Supervisors can also place a request on behalf of their staff. Supervisors submitting requests on someone else's behalf should enter the name of the person who will be using the VPN service in the "requestor's name" box.  If users  submit their own request it will automatically route to their direct supervisor or manager for approval.

Banner:  This request is only provides a VPN connection. If you need Banner access, please submit an eBAR request which can be found in Mypima on the @work tab.

HVAC: Heating and cooling system access. Reserved for Facilities employees.

WinSCP: WinSCP is a Secure File Transfer Protocol. Its main function is secure file transfer between a local computer and a remote server. This option is highly restricted requires specific business justification.

File shares: Access to shared folder on Pima's internal network (for example, Y drives, provost drive, finance drive, accounts payable, HR, etc) When requesting this, users should include the full network path name or connection address to the drive they would like to access. Note: This request will allow you to connect to the internal file server on the Pima network. Permission to connect to a specific drive or folder resides with the owner of the shared folder. Please consult with local IT staff or your supervisor for more info before making this request.
