Introduction
This article provides troubleshooting steps for the error message: "Your request could not be completed. Adobe Acrobat license has either expired or not been activated." when using Adobe Acrobat to create PDFs, and is often caused by a background process that isn't running correctly.
Instructions
An Adobe Acrobat License is required to use this feature. If you do not already have a license, you can
request one here.
Follow these steps to resolve the error and successfully create your PDF.
- Open Task Manager: Press
Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open the Windows Task Manager.
- End the Process: In the Processes tab, find and select
acrotray.exe, then click End task.
- Attempt to Create the PDF: After ending the process, try creating the PDF again.
