Running a Full System Antivirus Scan

Introduction

This article provides instructions for running a full antivirus scan using the Cisco Secure Endpoint Antivirus software. A full scan within the last seven days is required to use the GlobalProtect VPN client to access Pima's network remotely.

Instructions

Follow the steps below to initiate a full system scan. Or you can watch a video of the scan process.

  1. Use either of the two methods below to open the Cisco Secure Endpoint app so you can start a full system scan:
    • Method 1:
      1. In the lower-right corner of your screen, show the hidden icons by clicking the up arrow on the taskbar.
      2. Double-click the Cisco Secure Endpoint icon. The Secure Endpoint window opens.
    • Method 2:
      1. In the Search box on the taskbar, type Cisco.
      2. Click Open. The Secure Endpoint window opens.
  2. Click Scan Now.
  3. Click Full Scan.
    • A scan progress window shows details of the process.
  4. When the scan is complete, if it shows “no threats detected,” then click Close, otherwise contact the IT Service Desk at 520-206-4900.
