You may find that your keyboard is producing unexpected characters when typing. This can happen with characters on the number row or special characters like /
, ?
, and \
.
For example, instead of a /
or ?
, you may see é
or É
.
Solution
- Press Windows Key + I to open Settings.
- Navigate to the Time & Language tab, then click Typing.
- Select Advanced keyboard settings.
- Under the Override for default input method section, click on the drop-down list and ensure the correct keyboard layout is selected.
