This article provides instructions on how to claim your Pima account and set a password for accessing MyPima and college resources.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to the MyPima login page.
  2. Click on "Activate your account" located below the username and password fields.

  3. Enter your Pima ID (A Number) and Birth Date in the prompted fields, then click "Submit."

  4. Review and accept the Acceptable Use Agreement.
  5. Create your new password. Your password must meet the following criteria:
    • It must be 9 or more characters long.
    • It must contain at least one uppercase letter.
    • It must contain at least one lowercase letter.
    • It must contain at least one number.
  6. Finally, enter your recovery information.
    • Note: We are currently transitioning from our old account claiming system to a new one. Please remember to set your security questions in the Next Steps section to ensure you can reclaim your account if necessary.
  7. After claiming your account, test your login credentials to ensure they work.

Security Questions

  • Set up your security questions by visiting account.pima.edu/securityquestions
  • By setting your security questions, you will be able to reclaim your account if you ever forget your password.

New Password

  • Once you have set up your security questions, we recommend that you reset your password using our new system at account.pima.edu/forgotpassword
    • It must be between 15 and 127 characters long.
    • It must include at least one letter.
  • We recommend resetting your password as these requirements will be enforced in the future.
