This article provides students with instructions for locating, generating, and downloading course certificates earned in the D2L (Brightspace) learning management system.

To access and download course certificates in D2L, follow these steps:
Locating Awards
Students can find certificates through two primary methods within the D2L platform:
- Via the Course Navbar: Navigate to any specific Course, select Tools from the toolbar, then select the Awards option from the dropdown menu to view earned badges and certificates.
- Select the checkbox labeled "Include awards from other courses" to view all awards and their courses.
Generating and Downloading the Certificate
- Select the certificate icon or link.
- Check for a Complete Evaluation button; if this button appears, the student must complete the course evaluation before D2L unlocks the certificate.
- Select the Generate Certificate option to begin downloading the PDF.
