Installing Apps with the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub

Background

As the college migrates devices from SCCM (Windows devices) and JAMF (Apple devices) to Workspace ONE, you will start using the Intelligent Hub to install software, where previously you used Software Center (Windows) and Self Service (Apple).

The Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub app catalog shows you favorite apps, new apps, and recommended apps. It will also show you apps that have already been installed. You can search for an app in the search bar and then install it.

Process

  1. Open the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub.Screen capture of the Intelligent Hub app. The left-hand rail shows the Apps display is selected and the rest of the screen shows the recommended apps, each represented by its own rectangular tile.
  2. Find the app you want to install, such as the InkScape app shown in this example.
  3. Click the Install icon, which looks like an arrow pointing downward to a horizontal line.
Screen capture cropped to show only the rectangular tile for the Inkscape app. The tile shows the app icon image, the app size and version, and the download and install button.
  4. Wait for the app to finish installing. How long installation takes depends on the size of the application and the speed of your Internet connection.
  5. After the app is installed, you should find it on the Start Menu.
