Setting Up Voicemail on Your Cisco Phone

Steps to Take

  1. To set up your voicemail, press the Voicemail button on your phone. Photo of Cisco Phone numberpad, with the Voicemail button highlighted with a blue rectangle. The icon on the button is a stylized audio recording tape cassette.
  2. When the automated system asks you to enter your passcode (or PIN), followed by #, respond by entering the default PIN and then press #.
    Note: You can find the default PIN in the email you received about setting up your new phone. If you don’t have that, contact the Service Desk at 520‑206‑4900 or create an IT Support ticket.
  3. Follow the prompts of the automated system to do the following:
    1. Replace the default PIN with your personal PIN. You Your new PIN must be a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 30 digits, and may NOT contain:
      • Repeated patterns
      • Last 10 Voicemail PINs
      • The reverse of your old PIN
      • Your phone number or extension
      • The same digit 3 times in a row
      • 3 ascending digits or 3 descending digits
      • The reverse of your phone number or extension
    2. Record your name
