You can forward calls from any line on your phone to another number, which is useful when you are away from your desk phone for an extended period.
Note: Do not confuse call forwarding with transferring a call, with which you send an active call to be handled by another person. For steps to do that, see the Transferring a Call on Your Cisco Phone knowledge base article.
You have three forwarding options:
- Forward all, which forwards every incoming call.
- Forward busy, which forwards calls coming to a line in use.
- Forward no answer, which forwards calls instead of going to voicemail.
Call forwarding is phone-line specific, so if a call reaches you on a line where call forwarding is not enabled, the call rings as usual.
Steps to Take
