Questions
When will the upgrade happen?
Between September 4 and October 27. We will begin deploying the update to all systems on September 4 and you'll start seeing periodic prompts on your system to apply the upgrade. You will be able to wait to apply the upgrade until it's convenient, however October 27 is the deadline and after that date the upgrade will automatically be installed
Why do we need to upgrade?
Microsoft determines the end of servicing date for all of their products. After the end of servicing date, product support is no longer available for those products — not even security patches. Therefore, we must keep our products updated.
Will there be upgrades like this in the future?
Yes, approximately every 1-2 years we will have to refresh Windows. This is subject to Microsoft’s scheduling, of course, so that’s only meant to be an estimate.
How large is the 22H2 update?
This Feature Update is very small, only about .03 MB.
How long will the download take?
The answer to that depends on several factors, including the bandwidth availability where your computer is connected and what other devices might be using your network during the update. However, given how small the Feature Update is, it shouldn't take very long to download and this will occur in the background while the user can do other tasks.
Are there known issues with Windows 10 22H2?

Does my system need to be connected to the college network to receive the upgrade?
No, as long as it is connected to the Internet it can download and apply the upgrade.
Is there anything I should do before the upgrade?
The upgrade may take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours to complete. It is advisable to start the upgrade at the end of your work day. If you are using a laptop, ensure it's connected to a power cable, to prevent the battery from dying before the upgrade is finished. You should also refrain from using your system during the upgrade.
Should I do anything after the upgrade?
You may be prompted to restart after the upgrade. After restarting, check your commonly used applications to make sure they are working properly. If you have any problems or encounter any error messages, create an IT Support ticket in TeamDynamix.
