Introduction
Pima Community College has made a variety of Adobe apps available to faculty, staff, and students—completely free. Which apps you have access to depends on your role:
All Students have access to Acrobat Studio (Adobe Acrobat Pro, Acrobat AI Assistant, and PDF Spaces) and Adobe Express.
Some Students, those taking certain digital arts classes, have access to Adobe Creative Cloud for the duration of their enrollment in the class.
Faculty and Staff have access to both Acrobat Studio and Creative Cloud.
Apps Overview
Acrobat Studio
Acrobat Studio is a package that includes:
- Acrobat Pro, a comprehensive PDF management tool. Use it to create, read, or edit; reorder, rotate, or delete pages; edit text, typography, and graphics; add hyperlinks; sign; create or fill out forms; and much more—anything you want to do with PDF files.
- AI Assistant, a conversational generative AI engine integrated directly into Acrobat that automates document summaries and analysis, document editing, and content creation across multiple PDFs, documents, and slides, and meeting transcripts. Use it to generate written deliverables, charts, visual summaries, audio summaries, even podcasts, all based on information from one or more PDF files.
- PDF Spaces, a centralized, AI-enhanced workspace that groups related documents, files, web links, and notes together into a single collaborative hub. Instead of managing isolated PDF files or scattered folders, PDF Spaces allows groups to share and review content and extract insights across an entire project collection simultaneously.
Adobe Express
Express is a web and mobile content creation platform designed for fast, accessible design without requiring complex desktop editing skills. Use it to quickly produce and edit social media posts, videos, presentations, and digital documents. Powered by the Adobe Firefly generative AI engine, it’s the recommended option for users who need an easy way to design flyers, social media posts, or presentations without installing and learning large desktop applications.
Creative Cloud
Creative Cloud is a comprehensive suite of over 20 desktop apps, mobile tools, and cloud services used for graphic design, video editing, photography, web development, and digital document processing. Users can leverage industry-standard, pro-level software—such as Photoshop for image manipulation, Illustrator for vector graphics, Premiere Pro and After Effects for video production and motion graphics, and InDesign for page layout—all while using the generative AI features in Adobe Firefly integrated into each app.
