Introduction
This article will show you how to find your computer's IP address on both Windows 11 and macOS. Knowing your IP address is sometimes necessary for troubleshooting network issues or for specific software configurations.
Instructions
Windows 11
- On the Desktop, click the Windows Start icon.
- Open device settings by clicking the Settings icon ().
- In the Settings window, click Network & Internet.

- On the Network & internet page, click Advanced Network Settings.

- Under More Settings, click Hardware and Connection Properties.

- Under the Hardware and Connection Properties section, locate the Ethernet connection or Wi-Fi connection. Your IP Address is shown next to IPv4 Address.

macOS
- On the Apple () menu, select System Settings.

- In System Settings, from the list on the left, select Wi-Fi, and then, in the upper-right of the Wi-Fi pane, select Details.

- On the Network Details panel, scroll down to see the IP address.
