Introduction
This article provides instructions for setting up a first-time account in VMware Horizon.
Note: All of the links in this article are External Links, meaning they open a page on a website that Pima College does not control.
Users can access the platform directly at view.pima.tech or manage their account by visiting account.pima.tech.

VMWare Horizons is managed by the CIS department, NOT by IT. If you are unable to access VMWare after following these steps, contact it-coe-datacenter@pima.edu
To configure and activate a VMWare Horizon account, follow these steps:
- Access VMware Horizons Portal
- Enter Username
- Enter your username.
Your username is the first part of your college email address. If your address is jsjuarez33@mail.pima.edu, then your username is jsjuarez33.
- Click Next.
- Enter Reply Method
- Select your college email, which is displayed with some letters hidden.
- Click Next.
- Retrieve Verification Code
- In a separate tab or window, open your college email.
- Find the email from the VMware Horizons system that contains a six-digit verification code, and then copy the code.
- Enter Verification Code
- Back in the VMware Horizons Portal, enter or paste the six-digit code from your email.
- Click Next.
- Create a Password
- Enter a password that is at least 8 characters long and meets each of these conditions:
- At least one uppercase letter
- At least one lowercase letter
- At least one number (0 – 9)
- At least one special character (e.g., !, @, #)
- Cannot contain your username
- Confirm Password
- Confirm the password you just created by re-entering it.
- Complete Setup
- Click Finish to complete the process.
- Log In
- You can now log in to your account at view.pima.tech using your new password.
