Getting Your Attendance Report

Attendance tracking for meetings is turned on by default. Google Workspace Admins currently aren’t able to turn off this feature for their domains.

After a video call with at least two participants, the meeting organizer receives an email with an attachment: the attendance report in CSV format, which includes the following info:

  • Participant’s name
    • If someone calls in from their mobile device, instead of their name, some of their phone number digits are listed.
  • Participant’s email
  • Length of time participant was on a call, including timestamps of when they first joined and when they left the call.
    • If someone is ejected from a call, that timestamp is shown as the time they left the call.
    • If someone joins and leaves the call more than once, multiple timestamps are not listed, but their overall call duration is included.

Missing Attendance Report

If you do not receive an attendance report at the end of a meeting, follow these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Check Host Status: Verify the primary organizer of the meeting. If someone else created the meeting or joined it first, the attendance report may have been sent to them.
  2. Search Gmail: Check your Spam, Trash, and "All Mail" folders. You can type in:all attendance report directly into the Gmail search box to locate messages that may have bypassed your inbox.
  3. Check Google Drive: Search your Google Drive for a recently created Google Sheet containing the meeting code or the phrase "Attendance Report." The file often saves successfully to the host's Drive even if the email delivery fails.
  4. Verify Meeting Settings: If you reused a calendar event or adjusted settings mid-meeting, verify that "Attendance Tracking" remained toggled on in the Meet's Host Controls for that specific session.

If you are still unable to locate the report, submit a Google Meet service ticket and include the URL of the meeting and the approximate date and time it was held.
